1) FREEDOM TO BE ME
If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.

Our recovery has less to do with our thinking and much more to do with our actions. If you don’t believe this, stop going to meetings, stop looking at where you’re wrong, stop making amends, and stop doing service work. You will soon see that no matter how good your ‘thoughts’ are, your life will soon become meaningless without action.
My recovery *works better when I utilize, not analyze.

Because I make a mistake doesn’t mean that I am a mistake —Val B.
Mistakes are human and everyone makes them. There’s nothing shameful about it. Perhaps we learned that mistakes would cost us acceptance and approval. So, under the stress of an impossible task, many of us became our own harshest critic. We learned to reject ourselves.
But now we know we could never have learned how to get up if we hadn’t first admitted we’d fallen down. Making poor choices certainly taught us what we don’t want.
Today, I will look at my mistakes with compassion and honesty. I realize my mistakes are human and are not grounds for rejection— by myself or by anybody else.
