Progressive GratitudeĀ

1) Gratitude should go forward, rather than backward.

-AS BILL SEES IT, p. 29

2):ā€What most of us want is to be heard, to communicate.ā€

-Dory Previn

,. That is why sharing is so important. If I receive constantly without giving, I stagnate. If I give consistently without taking the time to take in and be helped, I go bankrupt.Ā

For me, sharing is a type of prayer, talking to my Higher Power from my heart with others listening in on our conversation! That way I am heard by my HP and those at the meeting I am attending. That is the true magic of the program.

3) One thing recovery teaches us, is that you can keep going long after you think you can’t. This is because you are stronger than you think. You have the accumulated strength of millions of clean and sober Twelve-Step members to bolster you.

I keep on keep’n on; I keep on trudging.

Grapevine Daily Quote

4) I have learned in the program not to listen to my ego when it starts whispering things.Ā
