1) DAILY REFLECTIONS

I CHOOSE ANONYMITY – We are sure that humility, expressed by anonymity, is the greatest safeguard that Alcoholics Anonymous can ever have.  Since there are no rules in A.A. I place myself where I want to be, and so I choose anonymity. I want my God to use me, humbly, as one of His tools in this program. Sacrifice is the art of giving of myself freely, allowing humility to replace my ego.

2) STEP ONE

We perceive that only through utter defeat are we able to take our first steps toward liberation and strength. Our admissions of personal powerlessness finally turn out to be firm bedrock upon which happy and purposeful lives may be built.

3) THE AA WAY

Every resentment cracked open a deeper wound. Every amends forced me to face the ripple effects of my choices. And every time I wanted to run, AA said: Sit. Feel. Grow. The lessons weren’t always gentle. But they were always sacred. They taught me that pain isn’t punishment—it’s a teacher. That humility isn’t weakness—it’s power. And that service isn’t a chore—it’s the heartbeat of healing.

4) FATHER LEOS MEDITATION

Today in my recovery I know I am a student of Truth and will hopefully be so until the day that I die. No longer do I search for the cheap thrill or the quick fix — now I desire lasting truths. Spirituality is about finding God in things that are true and honest, good and wholesome, creative and positive.
