DAILY REFLECTIONS

1) ” … praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”

-TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, pg 96

POWER IN THE PAUSE

2) Attitude of Gratitude

“If you concentrate more on what you have, you’ll always have more!”

As recovering alcoholics, we can’t afford to spew out negative, hopeless thoughts on a regular basis.  Self-pity is an ugly trap.  Today, I’m grateful for my physical pain that forces me to allow others to help me.

My job is to just let go and embrace. I’m grateful to be alive! What are you grateful for?

FORGIVING AND MOVING ON

3) When I think I need a new car, house, or person in order to be happy, I’m not recognizing that my real happiness does not depend upon moving around the externals of my life. When I’m at peace with myself, I will let go of the feeling that I will only be happy when I give all my power to away to things and people

4) Eventually, in everyone’s recovery comes the day when reason doesn’t cut it and we hit a wall. At this point, you either have a break down or a break through. If you’ve been doing Step Eleven, you’ll have the break through.

Sometimes I have to get on my knees to rise..
