DAILY REFLECTIONS

1) In A.A. we aim not only for sobriety – we try again to become citizens of the world that we rejected, and of the world that once rejected us. This is the ultimate demonstration toward which Twelfth Step work is the first but not the final step.

DAYS OF HEALING DAYS OF JOY

2) Many of us Alcoholics fake emotions because our past  experiences never taught us to use boundaries when dealing with feelings.

We may not know what it feels like to really trust someone.  What we can learn to do is “act as if” — working all the time to liberate the frozen emotions of years gone by — until we actually do experience what we seek.

God Grant Me…

3) The mind is never right but when it is at peace with itself —Seneca

The way to find peace is talking with our sponsors often and to state our thoughts openly with others.

FORGIVING AND MOVING ON

4) Today I am aware that I have some issues —; like abandonment. My fear of being left is so powerful pervasive that I hardly identify it as  fear.

I realize today that I cannot have people in my life in a healthy way if I am daily haunted by the fear that they will leave me.
