DAILY REFLECTIONS
1) Even then, as we hew away, peace and joy will still elude us. That’s the place so many of us A.A. oldsters have come to. And it’s a hell of a spot, literally. How shall our unconscious–from which so many of our fears, compulsions and phony aspirations still stream–be brought into line with what we actually believe, know and want! How to convince our dumb, raging and hidden “Mr. Hyde” becomes our main task.

No one else can rescue us from ourselves. No expert could possibly know as much as we do about where we’ve been and what we need to go on. Our own personal growth is our own personal responsibility.
I will face a problem I’ve been avoiding. Dealing with it won’t be as painful as fearing it.

Even if I don’t want to hear what they have to say with regards to what I’m telling them or what I’m doing, I need to be willing to take suggestions. I want to stay sober and grow.
