- II. Sexual Harassment Complaint
- There are two service team members with sexual harassment complaints regarding one
regular member. The two women are willing to substantiate their claims with evidence. This is a
severe safety and ethical violation which threatens the common welfare of the meeting and the
women who have been affected by this man’s predatory actions and behavior.- Lauren: Due to the severity of the issue faced today, I motion to add a second
Business Meeting this Sunday to reduce pressure and time constraints. That way, we
can put in the thought and discussion that the issue deserves and to give the involved
members an opportunity to freely explain without worrying about time.

- Stacy W was not present for the BM. Al and Kristen spoke with her, at length, and
they were given permission to speak freely about what happened to Stacy. They were
able to inform the group regarding the inappropriate behavior Justin F had shown
towards Stacy. - If anyone needs further info about what Kristen and Al presented, please contact
either one, respectively. They have documented evidence for anyone with questions.
- Both Al and Kristen used AA-approved safety-guiding sources as references: AA Safety
Card and Safety and AA: Our Common Welfare. They discussed specific incidents of
sexual harassment, re-iterated the repeated offenses done by the accused member,
anonymity is not a cloak for illegal activities, and the member’s continued predatory
behavior threatens the group’s integrity and unity. A legal precedent to ban this
member is already in place (A restraining order was made against the accused member);
we have an obligation to uphold the law. Accused member was offered a chance to tell
his side of the story but declined to do so. - Motion to name the accused member-Seconded and Passed (2 “no” votes)

- Lauren motions for the permanent ban of Justin F NYC from the GUTS room. He is 100
percent barred from the meeting. If Justin F is spotted in the room, he is to be removed
immediately. Any necessary preventative measures, technologically or legally, may be taken to
ensure that he does not get in the room secretly or otherwise.

- Kelly H proposed the removal of phone numbers in names while admitting. If phone numbers
get posted in the chat, give a warning and possible removal may occur. - Seconded and passed

cohost privately and that members may be warned or potentially removed for posting

- Kristen proposed for hosts read off the AA safety card until parts of it can be tailored
into the Host script. The AA safety card gets posted in the meeting, but people don’t

- Danny talked about the damaging effects of gossip in meetings; so, out of respect for
the women involved, Lauren proposed for service members to redirect the chat/shares
per any discussion of Justin F’s sexual predatory behavior in the room.

give the women involved some peace of mind, create a safe environment for
recovery, and to put the issue to rest. Don’t give him the platform to cause
further harm by dragging all this into the meeting.
