- Bently-This will go to the Business Meeting, but I will take any discussion or hands. The feedback just said, “Bring me back to service.”
- Glenn-That was not a contrite way to ask to come back to service. Just like anybody who has a desire to stop drinking, I think everyone deserves a chance to show they have reformed. I have been in touch with Daren. He seems very different. He’s helped me in my recovery. He’s been very calm and cool headed. He would need to demonstrate that he’s willing to make amends, follow group conscience, and follow traditions.
- Justin-I spoke with Daren. He wasn’t combative and he took things well. I told him not to solicit people to the Business Meeting. He was cool about it. The conversation turned into how Daren was wronged the last time he was in service, and he seemed to be playing the victim. I can’t speak to his actions while he was here. I was able to get the gist of what was going on. He’s not acknowledging his part in it. I absolutely agree with second chances. I think the group will make the best decision. Let’s hear what Daren has to say.
- Mark-I have no problem giving Daren a second chance. Maybe we make him do cohosting first. Past behavior shows future behavior until it’s changed. Maybe he starts with a certain amount of cohosting. I think that will prove whether or not things have changed.
- Bently-It would be a requirement that he would have 30 hours of cohosting before hosting. That applies to everyone, not just Daren. So, someone would need to inform him that he would need to cohost first prior to hosting.
- Glenn-Daren told me he wants to come back and host only.
- Motion to take this feedback to the BM
- The group will also need to discuss whether or not someone is given a clean slate with service strikes if they return after being given 3 service strikes. Do the strikes still apply when they come back? There’s no specific group conscience on this since this has never happened previously; so, the group will need to make a decision on this.
- Seconded and Passed (4 Yes Votes/1 No Vote)

The meeting closed with the Serenity Prayer and a motion to adjourn.
