DAILY REFLECTIONS

1) We A.A.’s are active folk, enjoying the satisfactions of dealing with the realities of life, … So it isn’t surprising that we often tend to slight serious meditation and prayer as something not really necessary.

FORGIVING AND MOVING ON

2) Today I will search for a Higher Power in the subtle moments and quiet spaces. I will remember that God works in mysterious ways, and I will look for those situations and coincidences that are not accidental but really reflect a spirit at work.

GRANT ME…

3) We have learned in recovery that there are persons, places, and things that we need to avoid to stay sober. We have also learned to stick with the winners, the sober people in the program who live the kind of life that we want for ourselves.

POWER IN THE PAUSE

4) As this day goes on, we can pause where situations must be met and decisions must be made, and renew the request; “Thy will, not mine, be done”

I am much farther ahead than I’ve ever been. Sometimes my head tries to tell me differently. Even sober, it will lie to me and blur my vision. I keep on course and chase the Sunlight of the Spirit, especially when life gets lifey.
