DAILY REFLECTIONS
1) Where does A.A. got its direction?… These practical folk then read Tradition Two, and learn that the sole authority in A.A. is a loving God as he may express himself in the group conscience…. The elder statesman is the one who sees the wisdom of the group‘s decision, who holds no resentment over his reduced status, whose judgment, fortified by considerable experience, is sound, and who is willing to sit quietly on the sidelines patiently awaiting developments.

2) All of us pass through times when we can pray only with the greatest exertion. Occasionally, we go even further than this. We are seized with a rebellion so sickening that we simply won’t pray. When these things happen, we should not think too ill of ourselves. We should simply resume prayer as soon as we can, doing what we know to be good for us.
