2.SELF-RELIANCE
What is self-reliance? It is my ego-driven attempts to attain happiness through inherently unstable externals: money, sex, property, prestige, appearance etc. Convinced these things will make me happy and fill that hole, I chase them, single-mindedly, only to discover through a lot of pain that they don’t deliver what they promise. The antidote? God-reliance

3.KEYS TO THE KINGDOM
There is no more aloneness, with the awful ache, so deep in the heart of every alcoholic that nothing before, could ever reach it. That ache is gone and never need return again.
Now there is a sense of belonging, of being wanted and needed and loved. In return for a bottle and a hangover, we have been given the Keys of the Kingdom.

4.GRATITUDE
I try hard to hold fast to the truth that a full and thankful heart cannot entertain great conceits. When brimming with gratitude, one’s heartbeat must surely result in outgoing love, the finest emotion we can ever know.
