2) COURAGE IS LIKE LOVE; IT MUST HAVE HOPE TO NOURISH IT. —NAPOLEON
Hope has us invest in life, others, and our values. Hope has us look towards the future with joy and excitement. When we were active alcoholics, the future meant more of the same — pain, anger, and more problems.
In recovery, we are given hope back if we are willing to embrace it. Hope is a belief that we have gifts to give to the world. However, hope will make us vulnerable again, so we need courage to let down our defenses and let hope in.

Finally, through Helpfulness we express gratitude and pass on to others some of the blessings we have enjoyed these recent weeks, months, years. Truly a Magic Formula for Continued Sobriety….”
FORGIVING AND MOVING ON
