DAILY REFLECTIONS
1) This has to do with the quality of faith. In no deep or meaningful sense had we ever taken stock of ourselves. We had not even prayed rightly. We had always said, “Grant me my wishes” instead of “Thy will be done.”

2) We thought alcohol could give us courage. What we got was a way to deny our fear.
Fear serves a good purpose. It helps us realize that some things are bigger than we are and that we need help to face them.
