DAILY REFLECTIONS

1) Never talk down to an alcoholic from any moral or spiritual hilltop; simply lay out the kit of spiritual tools for his inspection. Show him how they worked with you.

2)  There is no completion for the circle of recovery. A circle has no beginning and no end. It is suggested that recovery begins when you have learned enough from those before you and pass it along to those behind. Love is the process that keeps the circle moving.

Standing hand in hand or arm in arm after a meeting I absorb the love that travels our circle of recovery.

GOD GRANT ME…

3) Love is our Higher Powers greatest gift.

We were not able to love well when we were sick with our active addiction. We needed time for the healing of the program to take effect in us. After about a year, our heads and hearts become clear enough for us to make good choices and love well.

4) Strive for clear thinking. Many of us have had our thinking clouded by denial. Denial protects us until we are equipped to cope with reality. Denial is the first step toward acceptance, and for most of our life, we will be striving to accept something. We keep our thinking on track by asking our Higher Power to help us think clearly – not by expecting Him, or someone else, to do our thinking for us.
