DAILY REFLECTIONS

1) The central fact of our lives today is the absolute certainty that our Creator has entered into our hearts and lives in a way which is indeed miraculous. He has commenced to accomplish those things for us which we could never do by ourselves.

POWER IN THE PAUSE

2) Our admissions of personal powerlessness finally turn out to be firm bedrock upon which happy and purposeful lives may be built. —Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions pg. 21

Every day I wake up sober is like New Year’s! With sobriety comes change, and I have changed! But I’m not done. More is being revealed! With God, good sponsorship, and not taking the first drink, ANYTHING is possible.

God Grant Me…

3) We admitted that we were powerless over alcohol and our lives had become unmanageable

By admitting we are powerless, we embrace the spiritual principal of honesty. Honesty is how we release the death grip we had on the bottle.

We change our dependency on alcohol to reliance on other humans and our Higher Power. If we do this, we acquire the power to begin sobriety. Hold tight.

FORGIVING AND MOVING ON

4) Today I will do my part to follow through on inner change.

When I refuse to really accept that an inner transformation has taken place, I sabotage my own getting well — I take away the inner healing by telling myself that it is not real. I have the courage today to believe that my Higher Power is at work in my life and that I am meant to be whole and happy.
