DAILY REFLECTIONS
1) Alcoholism was a lonely business, even though we were surrounded by people who loved us… We were trying to find emotional security either by dominating or by being dependent upon others… We still mainly tried to be secure by some unhealthy sort of domination or dependence.

2) The harm of gossip lies, and what we do to ourselves when we engage in it. There’s no way we can continue to have spiritual growth if we practiced gossip, even as passive listeners. Spiritual growth takes place within us, and it needs an environment, completely free of an ill will.

3) Let us never fear needed change. Certainly, we have to discriminate between changes for better. But once a need becomes currently apparent in an individual, in a group, or A.A. as a whole, it has long been since found out that we cannot stand still and look the other way. The essence of our growth is a willingness to change for the better and then an unremitting willingness to shoulder whatever responsibility this entails.
4) “One step at a time. That’s how you will get where you are going. You’re being led, each step of the way.”
-Melody Beattie
